Rhonda Furtado, sister of 2nd Vice Regent Nancy Harvey.
Rhonda was 46 years old when she died of cancer. Rhonda is missed greatly.

Jacqueline Rosmund Sweeny

Jackie was 83 when she passed away March 23, 2005. at a local health care facility.
Jackie was born in Boston, Mass., the daughter of William H. and Beatrice A. (Pipes) Sweeny.
She worked as a medical technologist for many years until her retirement from Harvard University Health Care Systems in 1987. She moved to Maine after retirement and was active in a number of charitable and volunteer organizations. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Republican Women's Club and was an avid beano player. She will be missed by her large extended family and her many dear friends.
Elsie Paul Willard

Elsie Paul Willard, 97, of Albuquerque, N.M., passed away Sept, 13, 2006, at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice, Albuquerque.
She was born in Watertown, Florida in 1908.
Her gentle and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She attended the National Cathedral School, Washington, D.C., and graduated from Miss Harris' School, Miami, Florida. She also attended Parson's School of Design, New York City. She was a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Penobscot Expedition Chapter as well as a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Maine.

Isabel Cox Abbott

Isabel died peacefully Aug. 2, 2007, at Tall Pines Facility, Belfast, after a brief illness.
She grew up in Union and attended Union schools, graduating from high school, Class of 1936. Isabel graduated from Colby College in 1940 with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. After graduating from Colby , Isabel trained at Taunton State Hospital, Taunton, Mass., for one year before going to work as a lab technician at the Maine Eye & Ear Infirmary, Portland. She then worked briefly at Bangor Mental Health Institute, again as a lab technician, before returning home. In 1944, Isabel and her sister, Susan, started Susabel's, a successful retail clothing business on the village common in Union. In 1947, she became town clerk and served in this capacity until 1954. In addition to being town clerk, Isabel also served on the planning board for several years and as an election clerk. In 1955, she was instrumental in founding the Union Chamber of Commerce. Isabel belonged to the Zonta Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Mayflower Society and was very active in the Union Senior Citizens group.
Abbie H. (Black) Andrews Sennett

Abbie was a lifelong resident of Searsport, Maine. During World War II, she served the effort as an observer of enemy aircraft from the look-out tower of the Mission Building, presently Full Gospel Church. Abbie also worked as a seamstress in the factory sewing military pants and opened her home to numerous stevedores loading ammunition at the docks for shipment overseas. In her young adult life, she was involved in many business ventures, including a construction truck, delivering baked beans, doughnuts and pies to local restaurants and residents, laundry services and a welcoming home to numerous boarders for many years. Abbie was active in First Congregational Church of Searsport for more than 60 years. She was a member of Lady Lions, Daughters of American Revolution, Penobscot Chapter, Searsport Historical Society and former president of Searsport Evening Extension Group.
